If the file opened up, rename the file and then try to open the file again on the first machine. Next time you sign into this computer, use your Microsoft account password or Windows Hello. Double-click your reluctant PDF, and see if Preview can now open it. We would request you to please try the following steps below: Try to open the file on other machine. I am paying over $200 a year for a professional account, I would almost be more comfortable if they discontinued Dropbox passwords instead of having it so broken, it makes me nervous for all the other data I have stored with them. Quit Preview, and in /Library/Caches, look for, and then drag it alone to the Trash. Thankfully my desktops seem to still be functioning. I had to export my passwords on the desktop and add them to another service because I have a lot of randomly generated entries made by Dropbox Passwords that I can no longer access on my mobile device.
